Light at The End of the Tunnel

Powder room might be functional tomorrow. Floor and wall tile was installed last week and grouted today.

The plumber will install fixtures tomorrow. It will still be a month before the accent tile is in, but in the meantime, we can use the room. We still need to figure out a color in there, but since there is no natural light and the room is very small, the color will be light.

The work on kitchen is ramping up. Cabinetmaker has been given his first payment for materials. We have pretty much decided on countertop,

wall tile will be 4-inch tiles, ivory or close to ivory/taupe/pale beige, set on-point (diagonal) with small Celtic knotwork accent tiles. Here are a couple options:

Here's one I saw in the tile place restroom. After a long look, I realized that it was NOT Celtic knotwork.

In a perfect world, we'd find someting like this, but I'm afraid that the "let's just git er done" part of me is winning over the "I wanna be on Street of Dreams" part, IYKWIM.

Started pulling stuff out of cupboards and boxing it up when it sounded like kitchen demo would start Wed, the 10th. EEK!

Now, it turns out that it will probably be another 10-14 days before that happens.

Found a kitchen faucet, maybe.

Sprayer - critical. Soap dispenser - not so much.
