there is dust and soot EVERYWHERE. At first, it just seems like dust, but once it gets wet, I'm told it turns black and sticky. The Kitchen floor is a disaster, and L says it's already been vacuumed once. It should be better tomorrow. I haven't even been upstairs to see what happened in the Yarn Room, but I'm sure it's a mess and it was worth sticking the tarps over everything.
Now, I'm off to wash up in cold water. We should have hot water back sometime tomorrow. Please?
