Hardscape

There have been 3 separate concrete pours - the last one being Friday the 13th (oooh). We have now replaced about 2/3 of the public sidewalk.

We added a new walkway up to porch - this time within the property line; the old one was about 8 or 9 inches into neighbor's property. That orange marker on bottom step in left photo shows property line. New stairway is about 12-15 inches - that marker is about 7 inches north of the steps now.

We also have a new driveway and approach.

The dicey pallets along side of house have been replaced with broom-finish sidewalk as well. There is also a small concrete pad for the garbage and recycling bins.

In the last couple of weeks, we removed the cherry tree in the front yard, the colossal chestnut in the parking strip. In spite of its name, it was quite small and not very healthy. Yesterday, they got most of the short retaining wall in place adjacent to driveway. The curb appeal is going way up with all this exterior work.
