We had the nailing flanges on-site before 9AM this morning, EXCEPT they missed one item, so that will come in tomorrow (grin). Still, sometimes, it really DOES make a difference to go with a name-brand outfit. At least, they are responding and not arguing over whose fault it is.
In the meantime, we got a new kitchen window. Color correction is poor on this shot. You can see that previous window was wider, and it just felt a little off. Plus it was a slider and most of the rest of the windows in the house are double-hung, which is right for the age and character of the house and the neighborhood.
Wall texturing is done in addition. We should be able to paint as soon as that dries, about 48 hours. I will be off work all next week for painting, breaking on Thursday to stuff our faces with bird and gravy.
Once painting is done, the electrical and plumbing subs can do their finish work, hooking up bathroom, finishing outlets, installing light fixtures. We've had most of the fixtures on-site for the last month or so, so putting them in will be quick and will make SUCH a difference!
Hardwoods will be next and then we can maybe start moving stuff in. L is ready to cut a hole in the temporary wall between old and new, once all the locks etc. are in place in addition. That will be good for heat and ventilation and will minimize the traipsing in of mud to go over and check on stuff.
