Friday, they tear off a large chunk of siding/insulation on west side in preparation for the French door / moving interior wall / removing 2 old windows. That was in the last post.
Monday, they build a landing and a shed roof and move the boxed door up there so it will be ready for installation today.
Today, they cut the hole for the door. They open up the box with the door in it and the nailing flanges are.... nowhere.
Hole is patched up with OSB and cardboard. Last I heard, they are airlifting them from factory in MN and we could have them tomorrow, but probably Thurs. In the meantime, our French door entry looks like this:
The window on north side was put in though, replacing a very old aluminum-framed window.
It is a little drafty, so I wondered if Mosa, who lives for crawling under blankets and people for warmth, would brave the draft for dinner in her usual place. I needn't have worried.
