Unbelievable what has happened here in the last 24-36 hours.

Siding guys returned and in one day turned this to this:

We opened up the future stairwell area (see yesterday's entry). One cat rummaged around in there most of the evening, checking out all the new smells and such. One stood at the ledge, peering over but NO WAY was she gonna go down there.

Electrician was here first thing - 8AM spot on. We have electricity; we have outlets; we have ceiling light fixtures!

Generic light fixtures for closets, hallways, etc.


Fluorescent fixtures for Garage; plus door opener has one.


Master Bath. Obviously, one globe broke during shipment. We hope to replace this weekend.

We got a cool light system for the office.

This is the quasi-track lighting for upstairs hallway and the Yarn Wall.

Finally, the chandeliers for the bedrooms. Both rooms have the same fixture.

This was the thing that really got me, though. I left at noon to run errands. I was gone for about 2 hours. The front of the house went from this to this:

and the back of the house from this (they previously ripped some to put in the French door) to this:

I've just so strongly identified it as "this ugly blue house we live in." I guess it was a shocker to find out that it didn't take very long for it not to be blue anymore (grin).

Wow, I'm exhausted just LOOKING at these pix, and I didn't even do any of the work.
