Waiting on the $$

We finally did the online loan application. We are now jumping through hoops (salary info, credit report, etc.) The appraiser was here on Friday.

We might also have some assistance from a "friend of a friend" who builds houses on the side. He works at the same place I do, but different location. He comes highly recommended from a friend whose counsel I trust. I doubt that he will actually "general" the job, but he would be a good mentor/coach to help us through this, answer some questions as they come up, advise on which subs to use and which to stay away from, and he has offered to do so. We still need to meet to review plans, etc.

The interior designer has apparently dropped off the face of the earth and won't return emails, so we'll need someone to advise us on kitchen layout or take a look at the plan we have started.

Since I have no new pix, I'll share this one. This is a large tile that we will probably put on point, and use as centerpiece of the oven backsplash.

Now, I'm off to see if I can find that software that the designer was using so we can start visualizing the rest of the kitchen.
