Well, I've been occasionally frustrated lately because I can't see any of the new work done since I'm never here during daylight hours. We have excellent lighting inside now, so that is no longer a problem. However, I don't get to see the outside stuff very well until the weekend.
However, today, the front entry door came. It was already dark, of course, when I got home, but I got some pix. This is from inside - not so impressive at night, and I was feeling surprisingly, uh, exposed, after having a solid door there for almost 19 years. This photo was taken from my usual spot in the Living Room. Of course, once walls are removed, etc. that will all change; I have no idea where I'll be sitting then.
But, from outside, a little better. The red splotch behind window is the frame of the French door just inside the entry. The mailbox is attached to a new "faux door". The entry is way offset from center and we can't move it because there is a structural wall immediately to the right. In order to balance things a little, we directed the siding guys to put a plain panel adjacent to door. Eventually, both the door and the panel will be painted the same color. I also got a somewhat fuzzy pix of the new porch columns. We'll have to decide how to paint these, do something different with the recessed panels.
But, every once in a while, the night is a gift.....OMG
